We shaped the year! IDC study lists ESET among vendors who shaped the EPDR market in 2022

The International Data Corporation (IDC) “Worldwide Modern Security Market Shares” study places ESET among just five vendors who shaped the endpoint security market in 2022.

By recognizing ESET as a vendor that shaped the year, IDC includes our organization among vendors who had to deal with the dynamic changes in the endpoint security market in 2022 – especially the strengthening of the U.S. dollar – and who handled the situation in a manner that is worthy of recognition.

The study provides ESET with a detailed profile in which IDC recognizes our continuous market growth. IDC reveals that in the 12-month period from June 2021 to 2022, “ESET's growth rate more than doubled to 7.3%, a positive 3.8 percentage point difference” from the previous year.

The study also examines our active stance on the Russia-Ukraine war, which has led ESET to “cease all sales to businesses and organizations in Russia and Belarus and terminate all Russian channel partnerships.” More importantly, IDC notes that “ESET has leveraged its dense, in-region threat research to document the increase in cyberattacks targeting Ukraine.

Owing to the research and the resulting intelligence reports, IDC states, ESET has gained “well-earned” reputation and “experienced increased demand by governments, Ukraine-based organizations, and global organizations for ESET's threat intelligence services and security products.”

The study further recognizes our long-term focus on research and development and adds that ESET’s “R&D investments have doubled in size from 2016 to 2022 and the company is planning to add to its R&D employee base in 2023.”

Finally, IDC associates ESET with “longevity, continuing investments, technical prowess, and financial stability,” all of which “position the company well to strengthen its market growth in EU.”
